How do I get my guaranteed written offer?
You get your written offer two ways: (1) complete the online application or (2) call (xxx) xxx-xxxx / email [email protected] to schedule an in-person inspection. We are in Southern California but can arrange out-of-state inspections on a sale-by-sale basis. If you submit an online application, you’ll receive your written offer by email.
How does the guarantee work?
You complete the online application, upload some car pics, and receive your guaranteed written purchase offer, usually within 48 hours. Once we verify that your car’s condition matches the information we received online, you’ll get paid right away. Some offers are adjusted on inspection as explained below.
How long does it take to get my guaranteed written offer?
Our purchase offers aren’t auto-generated like CarMax. The cars we buy and sell are rare and collectible. Accordingly, your car is thoughtfully appraised by a real human expert. We usually present written offers within 48 hours. Make sure you provide good contact information in case we have questions.
Is the offer negotiable?
No. Our offer is firm and is good for ten days. However, offers may be adjusted based on the submission of new information (such as a luggage set that wasn’t considered in the initial offer) or upon verification of the car’s condition at inspection.
What information should I provide about my car?
At the least, you should provide the information requested in the online application along with any other information you think a prudent buyer would consider. The more detailed and accurate your application, the less likely your offer will be adjusted when your car is physically inspected. Unless noted otherwise in your application; we assume that your car is blemish free, up to date in maintenance, in sound mechanical condition with all systems functioning, all original OEM equipment (including keys, fobs, manuals, luggage and factory promotional material), adequate tire tread, brake pads and no aftermarket modifications and a clean, marketable, US state issued title.
What happens after I receive my online offer?
After receiving your online offer, you’ll have ten days to have your car inspected and the condition verified. More information about scheduling an inspection is provided in your purchase offer.
Where do I have my car inspected?
Your car will be inspected at one of our Southern California locations or affiliates. Inspections outside California are arranged on a sale-by-sale basis. It’s up to you to get your car to one of our inspection locations.
What should I bring to the inspection?
Bring a valid ID for all title holders, valid registration, all keys, fobs, remotes, luggage, literature, receipts, and maintenance records. If your car is leased or financed, bring a copy of your payment statement with lender/lessor information. Cosigners and other title holders must sign paperwork as well.
What happens at the inspection?
The inspection confirms the accuracy of the information in your application and verifies your car’s condition, history, equipment, originality, and authenticity. We inspect for:
- Evidence of prior damage/accidents
- Wear and tear
- Blemishes in exterior and interior finishes
- Mechanical/operational condition
- Missing original components/added aftermarket parts
- Repair/service/maintenance history
- Title/ownership history/provenance/liens
How do I get paid?
Your initial offer will be confirmed or adjusted upon inspection. If you accept the final offer and complete transfer paperwork, you’ll get a check at the inspection! Be sure to arrange a ride home!
Do you buy leased or financed cars?
Yes, we do. Most of the cars we purchase are leased or financed. We will contact the leasing/finance company, arrange payoff or lease buyout, and process/apply any equity you might have.
What about the paperwork?
We handle everything! Selling your car to us is painless and risk-free. We pay off your loan or lease, apply the equity, handle the registration/transfer paperwork, file release of liability, and get you your check quickly. Out-of-state titles are no problem.
